Acupuncture for complementary cancer support

Acupuncture has been shown to assist in treating chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, cancer pain, and cancer-related fatigue.

We offer acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for people in cancer treatment and recovery. As with all acupuncture, you will receive individualised treatment aimed at restoring the healthy flow of Qi and blood throughout the body.

An initial consultation and acupuncture treatment for cancer-related conditions will involve a questionnaire and interview to gather a medical and wellbeing history.

Wear loose clothing to your appointment. You’ll have a pulse diagnosis, an assessment of the energetic quality of the pulses, as well as a tongue coat diagnosis and abdominal palpitation.

Your treatment will target specific meridians and acupuncture points to treat your symptoms and the underlying causes. An acupuncture treatment plan for cancer patients usually commences with twice-weekly treatments, followed by weekly sessions, and then fortnightly maintenance.
